I used Goof Off to remove some spilled paint on my hardwood floor. It looks like the Goof Off removed the finish as well. Know there is a big spot on the floor where the finish is gone. How can I fix this?

Actually, alcohol will remove dried latex paint from floors & clothes.

Take a good, clear picture of your floor, showing the color…you may need to take several from different angles to get the color right (compare the pics for color), then take your camera to your home improvement center & look at the stain sample boards in the paint dept.

Get a half-pint of the stain that matches the closest, then get a spray can of the urethane, clear gloss, semi-gloss or matte finish your floor has.

Use a cloth to rub the stain in & wipe off the access…you may need to do this several times until you get close to the right shade. Once you’re satisfied, let the stain dry overnight & then spray a couple of light coats & let them set at least 4 hours between coats & 24 hours, then lightly sand the spot with 0000 steel wool, wipe the area, then spray another light covering coat & let it set for 24 hours & you should be done.

I spilled blue and white paint on my floor, i tried goof-off, but it really stunk! please help!!

Apply some Dawn dish liquid (small amount) to the stain and rinse well…

I couldn’t wash the price tag off of the glasses, so I used Goof Off. Unfortunately, it caused hazing that has disfigured the glasses. I tried washing the hazing off with soapy water, but it didn’t work. Any suggestions for getting the hazing off? Or did I ruin my new glasses?

Try using toothpaste. Sqeeze some on your finger & rob like crazy.

My son will be 7 yrs old in a coupld of weeks, and he is playing Pee Wee Baseball. Tomarrow is his first game. He says he wants to play and all, but during practices, he goofs off and doesnt pay a whole lot of attention. I brought this to the coach’s attention, but he says its normal, he is young. What is your opinion on this? Is the coach right? Am I just too particular? I dont know….. Most of the other kids are paying attention or atleast seem to be. My boy ( i love so much ) but he puts his hands on top his head, dances around, and just goofs off…… How am I suppose to deal with this? I want him to be the best he can be, but I want it to be fun for him too.

I have 5 athletic boys. I was just looking at some old pictures the other day. My 12 year old in T-ball picking flowers in the field. My 13 year old playing tball with his hands down his pants and my goodness my 10 year old was so social on the tball field. We would have to yell run after each hit because he was socializing at each plate. My 8 year old use to sit down at each plate. My 12 and 13 year olds are die hard now of course and my 8 and 10 year old gave up baseball this year and want to just play soccer in the fall. Watch the other kids…you will see them do this to. It is very normal. Just keep continuing to tell him how important it is to pay attention to his coach and so that he does not get hurt. Don’t stress though he will eventually listen.

In order to calculate, take the number of minutes you are actually working, then divide it by the number of minutes you are supposed to be working, then multiply by 100

I am supposed to work 480 minutes, I actually work 15 minutes, so I work 15/480 * 100 = about 3% of the time. Which means I goof off 97% of the time.
