This is the version that was featured in the 2006 Comedy Movie Idiocracy by Mike Judge. This is a clip of the Banda version of the track. This version was released on Balboa/Musart. I wrote the music in 2004 & this production was in 2005. I’m only putting only 2 minutes since we are going to see about getting the full track available. It seems to have come true already even though it was supposed to be 500 years in the future.

I’ve seen it 4 or 5 times. In ways i like it better than Office Space, by the same creator Mike Judge.
One thing I liked about it was, it’s about de-evolution, and I’ve been a fan of the band Devo since the late 70s.
Some things in Idiocracy were almost scary because they are so true.

…and is the reversal of intellectual progression occurring? At what pace?

Did anybody see "Idiocracy" and think it was meant as a parody of how "stupid" our own society can be (how in many cases, we support large corporations which just poison our environment and try to brainwash into buying a bunch of crap we don’t really need, for example, because change could be economically painful)? Did anybody watch it wondering if that could really be what society will be like in 500 years if so many people continue to devalue (look down on) intelligence and if smart people really tend to produce fewer offspring than dumb ones (because smart people can now easily plan/prevent their pregnancies and dumb people fail to plan/prevent them…obviously this isn’t always true but it is true that a lot of pregnancies in our society aren’t intended/well planned for)?

Yikes, you read my mind. Actually, I think it’s a bit of a parody on our present society. For example, when the language was described as a combination of hillbilly, ebonics, valley girl and grunts, and anyone who uses proper English sounds pompous and [gay]? There are a lot of people out there like that already. And the way everything that happened was a reality show? It hit close to home.
All that to say, yes, I did think to myself, this could really happen. It is true that our society is dumbing down, it is true that some unintelligent people do not plan their families and have multiple children just for failure to use contraception then let the TV raise them, while intelligent people wait for the right time to reproduce, then take into consideration that more children means fewer resources for each of them.
It just stands to reason that there will be fewer children born into the "smart" families, while those raised where multiple sex partners, failure to use contraception, and lack of emphasis on education and self-improvement were the norm will continue to rise in population, thus becoming the dominant group in society.

The GEM E4 electric car use for the movie Idiocracy and driven in the movie by “Frito” has been restored to operation over the last few weeks. We plan to continue the restoration including getting all the lights up and running soon. This video features the exploration and initial test run of the car after we obtained it.

I give my take on one of the most under appreciated movies of all time. I also talk briefly about Mike Judge’s other films, and how he keeps getting screwed over by movie studios.

Idiocracy, call it a stupid movie too smart for stupid people if you will. Does that make sense? Probably.
