FOR NEDA (English)

Posted in the film | No Comments »

FOR NEDA reveals the true story of Neda Agha-Soltan, who became another tragic casualty of Iran’s violent crackdown on post-election protests on June 20, 2009. Unlike many unknown victims, however, she instantly became an international symbol of the struggle: Within hours of Agha-Soltan’s death, cell phone photographs of her blood-stained face were held aloft by crowds protesting in Tehran and across the world. With exclusive access to her family inside Iran, the documentary goes to the heart of who Neda was and what she stood for, illuminating the larger Iranian struggle for democratic freedoms through her powerful story. Directed by Antony Thomas.

How scary is Friday the 13th (2009 film)?

June 262010

Posted in the film | 14 Comments »

How would you compare the overall scariness of Friday the 13th compared to The Grudge 2?

I’ve never seen the Grudge 2, but I saw Friday the 13th 2009 the night before last and let me tell you, i was scared out of my chair.
Its very bloody..gorey, intense and just everything most people look for in a horror film.
It wasn’t like a lot of others because there wasn’t a lot of scary music leading up to a murder or anything like that, it was more silent and then when Jason would appear it’d be like BAM! ahhh creepy.
I highly recommend it, its great. very well written :)

Shot by Robert M. Young and Edward James Olmos on a trip to the heart of the oil spill in the Gulf. Edited by Stephen Cohen.

Robert Young and I jumped on a plane and went to the Gulf of Mexico just to lend our support by documenting what we saw…

Well, the people that we met took up all of our time. It was brutal! I was not ready for the human aspect because no one had prepared me for it.

I thought they would be angry. They are devastated.
Take a look at this video and see for yourself. People are afraid to talk and you will learn why watching this…

Please pass it on, recommend it.

If you feel like doing something, just go down there (anywhere on the Gulf) and support by spending time and energy in the region.

They need our support. Thank you for Caring.

Is it safe to buy film online?

June 192010

Posted in the film | 3 Comments »

I have an old camera. But I want to buy the film online. Is it safe to buy it online? Do you also have to use a credit card when buying something online? How does it work when buying in the internet?

Generally, yeah its safe. You don’t have to use a credit card but you’re allowed. Most people like using paypal. www.paypal.com – an online internet bank that protects you up to 500,000$ – yes it’s legit. You order something online, they send it to your house, you pay shipping and handling. It’s much more convenient because there are places online that have pretty much everything lol

The Message (Full version; the film) – The early history of Islam and the Muhammad (SAW)

June 92010

Posted in the film | 11 Comments »

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Message_(1976_film)

Muhammad, Messenger of Allah (retitled The Message for U.S. release) is a 1976 film directed by Moustapha Akkad, chronicling the life and times of the prophet of Islam, Muhammad. Released in both Arabic and English (in Arabic: الرسالة— , Ar Risalah), Mohammad, Messenger of God serves as an introduction to early Islamic history.

The film follows Muhammad’s first years as a prophet starting with Islam’s beginnings in Mecca in which the Muslims are persecuted, the exodus to Medina, and ending with the Muslims’ triumphant return to Mecca. A number of crucial events, such as the Battle of Badr and Battle of Uhud are depicted, and the majority of the story is told from the point-of-view of peripheral individuals such as Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib (Muhammad’s uncle), Abu Sufyan (the leader of Mecca) and his wife Hind bint Utbah (enemies of Islam who later become Muslims themselves).
