@toms900 No camera direction should be in the script at all. You can suggest through the way you tell your story what the visuals should be doing, but it has to be vague. The camera direction is added later by the director and cinematographer.

@toms900 If you are moving from one room to the next, you can just use INT. KITCHEN – DAY No need for the CUT TO: That is used when having a drastic cut from one place to another. It is a way to make sure your reader is following you.

I have a shot in my last scene of “Polished” where the antagonist’s gumada shoots herself from under her jaw. Smoke spills from her mouth and blood spatters the face of the man she kisses on the corner of the mouth….
Any Ideas on how to safely create that effect?

Very nice interveiw, though, if you want a pretty decent script writing software that does the formatting for you, try Cetlx. It’s free, and has more than one writing format. Film script, Radio, Comic, etc.

Their is a relatively good program that formats almost everything. Celtx, it exports in .txt and .pdf’s, I use it and for ametures it works like a charm.
